My daughter and I...and the boys by default...LOVE My Little Pony.
We've done a bunch of MLP inspired projects!
Perler bead art, t shirts...and other geekery.

Well, we love these little blind bag ponies!
I love them because they are small.  They don't have hair to get tangled.
They are adorable...everything is cuter mini!

But the problem...no great way to display.
Sure we could throw them in a box, bucket or bag...
but I want them part of the decor...but not permanent...
cuz what fun are toys if you can't play with them?
And every pony has a little hole on one of there little hooves...so,
So I took an old sign someone gave me...while I still believe
that families are forever...I cut it into thirds.

Marked and drilled holes the same size as a wooden skewer.
I drilled in about 1/4", not all the way through the board.

Shoved a skewer in the hole.

Snipped it about 1/4" above the wood surface.
Like this.
Then screwed on some side pieces and presto!
A pony stand!

It absolutely need a pinkie pie pink coat of paint!
Then the fun of organizing the little ponies on the pegs!

Is Royal Riff flirting with Firecracker Burst???
It's so cute!  I just need to hang it up on the wall!

Only problem...I need more ponies!!!  :)

Linking up to THESE parties this week!

Very cute idea! My girls, would love this as they love My Little Pony as well. I'm sure your daughter won't mind if you 'need' to buy more to fill up the cute display. ;-)

this is a great idea! you are such a very talented person. i hope to one day have 1/2 of your insight into refurbishing things for other uses....you seem to have a knack for seeing 10 uses for every one thing.
we love MLP and we are a family of all boys! my son just grew out of his Brony shirt. I would send it to you but he has a nervous habit of biting on his shirts (argh! tried every distraction out there) so im sure he wouldn't want a gross bit on shirt. lol
been missing keeping up with you! your blog brings a smile to my face any time i see it. it also reminds me i have an errand to run. :)
